12th Annual Beth C. Wright Ride for Life
Saturday September 10th, 2016 - Blue Hill Peninsula - Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center
On Saturday, SEPTEMBER 10, the 12th Annual RIDE FOR LIFE will be held on the Blue Hill Peninsula. Starting in Surry, bicycle riders of all ages and levels are invited to ride the 8 mile, 20 mile, 50 mile, or 100 mile rides. With a cookout and entertainment after the ride for all volunteers and riders and a fabulous view of the coast on every ride, this is a not-to-be-missed event benefiting The Beth Wright Center.
BUT WAIT! Would you rather HIKE IT than BIKE IT??
This year join us in hiking Patten Stream Preserve in Surry and enjoying spectacular views of the stream. This HIKE is of moderate difficulty and is a total of 1.5 miles. It is suitable for young children, as well as mature adults. No fancy equipment is necessary -- like a bicycle, helmet, special shorts, or fancy shirts -- only the desire to help the BETH WRIGHT CENTER raise money for our wonderful programs and the energy to climb this glorious mountain. At the summit, we'll have some snacks and water waiting just for you and your team. After the hike you are invited to join the festivities at the Surry Elementary School.
Forming a team is another way to support the event. Teams can be of any number and any affiliation. Please think about forming a team and then asking your friends and neighbors to pledge money to the Beth C. Wright Center to show their support for you and the Center.
The Ride For Life provides critical funding for the free services, support, and programs offered to cancer survivors, their family and friends by the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center. 100% of funds raised from the Ride for Life will stay in Hancock and Washington counties.
